This report asses the pharmaceutical sector in Benin. This report describes the various factors that influence, and often hamper the operation of the pharmaceutical sector, and proposes a number of options to improve governance and management in the sector. These options include strengthening the fight against the illicit drug market and the legal and regulatory environment in the pharmaceutical sector; improving governance of the public sector supply chains; and increasing transparency in pricing and quality in the public and private sectors.
