Welcome to the Financing Communities of Practice

Welcome to the Financing Communities of Practice.

These communities are managed and administered full time by HHA and its membership is comprised of a select group of relevant experts and decision makers on health financing from governments, donors and academia. The objective of the COPs is to bring such expertise together and create a structured environment where community members can easily communicate, share knowledge and coordinate activities.

The financing COPs featured here each have individual portals where members can join and interact using a common “dashboard”, a web-space that includes a forum tool, membership profiles, and an event planner. If you wish to join one or more of the communities, please sign up to the HHA membership and request access to the COPs.

Health financing covers such a wide field of issues that several communities exist within the Financing Pillar. these include Results-Based financing (RBF), Scaling-up of Health Insurance in the Informal and Rural Sector, and Evidence-Based Planning. Use the navigation menue on the left sidebar to visit the corresponding COP portals.

This community consist of experts and proffessionals engaged in Resuls-Based financing (RBF) for Health initiatives in Sub-Saharan Africa. RBF is a national-level tool for increasing the quantity and quality of health services used or provided based on cash or in-kind payments to providers, payers, and consumers after predetermined health results (outputs or outcomes) have been achieved. It combines the use of incentives for health-related behaviors with a strong focus on results, and can support efforts to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
